DataChart® Companion Software

Companion Software is a powerful and intuitive Windows based application program that allows you to monitor real time data or review previously recorded data in graphic or tabular format, search files for specific events, link alarm and event files to trended data, print graphic or tabular files and export files to spreadsheet applications such as Lotus 1-2-3 or Excel. Recorder configurations are easily generated using Companion Software and can be downloaded to diskette or PCMCIA card and transferred to the recorder or transferred directly over RS232 or RS485 serial line.

Monitor, configure and control up to 31 units with the RS485 MODBUS option or control from remote locations with the RS232 modem control. Whatever the application, Companion Software puts you in
complete control.

• Display files in graphic format.
• Use the cursor to pin point exact values with time and data information.
• Search data by signal values or date/time.
• Each point is displayed with its corresponding tag name, engineering and scale units.
• Compress graphic files in time.
• Zoom in on areas of key interest.
• Display data in tabular format with time and date information for each sample.
• Transfer data over R5232 or RS485 serial line.
• Network up to 31 Data-Chart 3000's on one RS485 serial link.
• Transfer data from remote sites using direct dial modem capability.
• Display Alarm/Event information.
• The time and type of each alarm is displayed.
• Information as to when an alarm condition returns to normal is also displayed.
• Alarm/Event files and graphic files can be tiled together on one screen and time synchronized.
• Create recorder configurations using Companion and transfer via serial line, 3.5 in disk, or PCMCIA card.
• Export files to spreadsheet applications such as Excel, Lotus 1-2-3 etc
