iLearn Alignment   interactive training on CD

iLearnAlignment will take you through all of the essential topics you must understand in order to successfully precision-align a machine.

  • Excellent 3D animations, movies and models.
  • Simulation/demonstrator programs.
  • "Far more extensive and dynamic than any other training system."

Training on the fundamentals: Review of misalignment, alignment tolerances, pre-alignment checks, base and foot problems (including soft foot), precision alignment, reverse dial and rim/face dial indicator methods, laser alignment, and dynamic movement.

Benefits

  • You will understand shaft alignment
  • You will learn how to detect misalignment
  • You will learn how to align shafts with:
    • rim and face or reverse-dial methods
    • modern laser shaft alignment tools
 General Alignment Concepts

Alignment training

To help you understand the various concepts and procedures, iLearnAlignment is presented as a series of narrated slides, so there is nothing to read.  There are hundreds of 3D illustrations, models and animations, which make it all very easy to understand.

 Understanding Methods Using Dials
Alignment Training

And the simulations of the alignment process and dial indicator methods make these complex procedures easy to understand and remember.

 Understanding Methods Using Laser Systems

Alignment Training

We also discuss the technology and methodology used by all of the leading laser-alignment systems.

Our system can be used by the person who is brand new to alignment, and as refresher training - when it has been a while since you last had to do an alignment job.

If you would like to know more, you can download a demo [17 MB] (click the link, save the zip file, unzip it to a directory, and run the demonstration) or view the flyer, or download the flyer [1.4 MB].

What the heck is a dongle?
A dongle is a security module.  There are dongles that are attached to the parallel port (also known as LPT or printer ports), as well as the new USB ports, which are common on notebook computers.  Inside the dongle is a memory chip.  We program the memory chip so that it knows which products have been purchased.

When the iLearnInteractive products are run they actually check the parallel port and USB port to see if a security module is present.  If it is present, and the memory chip says that the program has been purchased, then the product will run.  So, if you purchase the dongle, you can install the software on as many computers as you like.  However the dongle must remain connected to the computer when the software is in operation.

Alignment Training If you order the USB dongle, you will get this sleek looking device.  It is small and light.  Note that when you connect it to your USB port, the port cannot be used for any other devices.  If your mouse is normally connected to the USB, you will either need a USB hub that supports multiple USB devices, or you will have to use the parallel port dongle.
